Shih Tzu - 2 years old (Rudy) in Seekonk, Massachusetts For Sale

Rudy is a 2 year old neutered male Shih Tzu. He weighs only 10 lbs and is full grown. He is up to date with his shots and has been groomed by a groomer. He came to live with us about 5 weeks ago after being rehomed due to a move. Rudy has done well adjusting to his move. However, he struggles with the number of people in the house and the chaos of our schedule. He would be a dream for a couple, or single person, who has the time to give him and has no kids or pets to compete with. He has struggled with the kids and our cat. He would be a perfect companion for someone who is retired or works only part time. He loves to take walks (but is not overly energetic) and to snuggle on the couch or in his bed. He is house trained and sleeps through the night. In a new environment he will need to get acclimated to your schedule and you to his. We have a crate for the day, which he seems to enjoy. We have not slept him in the crate at night, but suspect that he would not object. Rudy recognizes and obeys some commands ? stay, sit, come. However, he is very smart and with reinforcement and consistency will be able to learn more. We are heartbroken that we were not able to give him a home that he can thrive in. While we have all grown attached, we feel that he will never be truly comfortable or happy in our home. We are determined to help him find the right place. We have all of his daily needs that you are welcome to ? crate, bed, coat, sweater, leashes, brushes, blankets, toys, and vet records. We have no papers for him other than the vet records, however, the vet indicated that they believe he is a full Shih Tzu.
